The Sigma SD9 is an APS-C DSLR and one of the first commercially available cameras to use a Foveon X3 direct image sensor, capturing full color data at each pixel location rather than interpolating via a Bayer filter. It features a 3.54 MP Foveon sensor (10.29 MP total) and Sigma SA lens mount compatibility. The SD9 was the first Sigma DSLR and launched the SD series.
