The Sigma DP1 Merrill is a fixed-lens compact camera with a 28mm F2.8 equivalent lens and the 46 MP Foveon X3 Merrill CMOS sensor providing exceptional resolving power through three-layer color capture. It is part of the Merrill generation of Sigma DP cameras, named in honor of Foveon co-founder Dick Merrill. The DP1 Merrill was the wide-angle option in the Merrill lineup.
