Swift Playgrounds for macOS is Apple's coding environment that lets users learn Swift programming and build iOS and macOS apps directly on Mac. It supports submitting finished apps to the App Store and includes the same guided learning content as the iPad version. The macOS version was introduced in 2021 alongside Apple Silicon Macs.
